Partner & Head of Group
Whitney is a partner and chair of the firm’s intellectual property and technology protection group. He focuses his practice on internet brand and reputation issues, including online seller enforcement, internet defamation, patent and intellectual property infringement, and misleading marketing and advertising. Whitney has developed custom programs for companies confronting these issues with investigate tools and services.
Daren S. Garcia
Daren’s online seller enforcement practice involves the implementation, both domestically and internationally, of cutting-edge enforcement systems. In addition, he counsels clients on distribution and e-commerce channel controls, which are designed to protect profit margins, preserve brand integrity and combat unauthorized online sellers. Daren has a long history of representing some of the nation’s largest retailers.
Adam C. Sherman
Adam works specifically with direct sellers on developing custom programs confronting their unauthorized sales, grey market sales, counterfeit sales and other illegal sales on the internet. He also handles matters related to brand protection, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and internet defamation. Adam serves as the co-editor of this blog.
Tyler B. Pensyl
Tyler’s online seller enforcement practice involves prosecuting actions against unauthorized online sellers. As part of his practice, he counsels clients on strategies for protecting their brand and reputation online, combating illegal online sales, and developing legal claims against unauthorized online sellers. He leads enforcement and litigation efforts against sellers who are selling online illegally, including bringing trademark, Lanham Act, and other claims against them.
Colleen M. Devanney
